Description:
****This team is in charge of front and back end applications, the "core" applications for the firm -- very highly visible systems being tested. The group will also be taking on product support, that is the group that supports clients, members and traders. There are several projects going on, six people in the group and growing.
The core team is seasoned, self-starters, great people to work with who have a sense of ownership and a take charge attitude. They are testing the CORE of the organization. You will be involved in learning the most critical aspects of the trading system.
****What is important is to be an IDEA person -- strong skills coupled with new approaches to doing things, self-motivation, flexible and open-minded QA engineers.
This is NOT about vendor automation tools, though it is desirable to have experience in supporting the trading community. This is a very fast-paced environment.
The Key Skill is scripting languages -- they use PYTHON/JYTHON, but these can be learned. Exposure to writing scripts -- they create own automation in house.
The role involves mostly manual testing but automated testing, in house, internal tools are created. You need just the strong, strong scripting.
