For beer can chicken, it's best to go with the flow and be creative. Don't worry, it's easy to make beer can chicken and hard to mess up.

Mix and match your choices for liquids and seasoning. Take risks and try several matchings to find your favourites.

Your favourite poultry seasoning
Paprika (paprika helps makes that golden colour)
Salt and pepper
your favourite bbq sauce
Favourite beer
Favourite cider
Favorite cooler
Can of pop
Can of juice
Preheat the BBQ or SMOKER or OVEN: (BBQ-medium/high heat, OVEN 350 degrees F, SMOKER 350 degrees F).
Drink/remove half of the liquid from the can. Use the small cans (355ml/12 oz).

If you don't remove the liquid: it will take to long heat up and steam. PLUS there's nothing for you to enjoy!
Season the outside of your chicken with your choice in seasoning.

Place the can in the riding chicken stand and secure the chicken on the stand and on the can. See video for more details.
Place your riding chicken in the OVEN or BBQ or SMOKER.
Cook the chicken until the breast and chicken thighs reach 165 degrees F. (About 45min-1hr in the oven or BBQ and 1-1 and 1/2 hours on the smoker).
Rotate you chicken every 15 mins.
Let the chicken sit for at least 10mins before serving.
Enjoy the moist on the inside and crispy on the outside CHICK.
*** If you're into spices, you can try adding spices directly into the can. For example, add fresh rosemary into your can of beer.

For Hawaiian BBQ beer can chicken (the new up-and-coming beer can chicken):

Follow the previous steps except instead of using a can, carve out a pineapple to the same size and shape as a small 355ml/12 oz can. You can choose any seasoning for the outside of the chicken that you would enjoy.

Place the can sized pineapple shape in the chicken stand and secure the chicken.
Cook in the OVEN/BBQ/SMOKER.
