Why sustainable communities are important Auroveda Foundationvalid until: 29 Sep 2023date published: 29 Sep 2022
A sustainable community takes into account, and addresses, multiple human needs, not just one at the exclusion of all others. It is a place where people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives feel welcome and safe, where every group has a seat at the decision-making table, and where prosperity is shared.
Are you passionate about sustainability, the environment, or climate change? The Sustainable Living Experience (SLE) Theme Community at Auroveda Operating Foundation Charitable Trust is rooted in experiential learning and community engagement in various aspects of sustainability as well as climate and environmental justice.
People are at the heart of the places we create. We transform sites into welcoming neighborhoods where people want to live, and which provide a lasting social impact. From the start, we support the formation of strong communities in our developments, connecting residents and neighbors, Sustainable Living Community, Sustainable Living Garden, Community Garden Sustainability, Community Gardens and Sustainability and helping to weave each site in with its surroundings. Along with the design of our homes and places, this enables people to have a better quality of life, improving health and wellbeing and allowing them to thrive, as well as ensuring we provide benefits beyond the site boundary.
