Taking Care of Local Roads, Sealed and Unsealed

The new system for Rural Roads Specification will be covered in this workshop. The newly created documents for the design, building, and upkeep of sealed and unsealed roads for low volume traffic will be highlighted. It will be explained how new reference materials, such as design reference and checklists, construction reference and schedules, TECHguides, TECHreports, and TECHnotes, can help rural councils create their own internal specifications.


It will outline the implementation of these papers at the council level so that rural councils can plan, build, and maintain their road system. Effectively and efficiently manage the council's gravel pits and upgrade locally accessible materials.
The new Rural Roads Specification system will be particularly helpful to regional and rural governments in documenting the design, building, and upkeep of their road network.
