Saniya Patankar (Indian Classical and Light classical vocalist)

Vidushi Saniya Patankar is a distinguished Indian Classical and Light Classical vocalist from the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. Known for her expertise in traditional, Anavat, and Jod Ragas, she has made notable contributions through performances, recordings, and teaching.She began her musical journey at age six under Late Mrs. Lilatai Gharpure and later trained with Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Smt. Manik Bhide, Dr. Arwind Thatte, Dr. Milind Malshe. She received  Talim of 'Tappa' special form from Pt. Vasantrav Rajurkar, and Pt. Sharad Sathe. She holds qualifications in both music and commerce, including a Sangeet Visharad and an M.Com (Gold Medal) and C.S.Being Top Grade artist of Doordarshan and Akashwani, she has performed at renowned festivals like Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav, Tansen, Baba Harivallabh samaroh, Doverlane and Saptak, Agra Taaj Sangeet Natak Academy Delhi festivals etc, and has represented India globally in 12 countries too being ICCR Central Govt. Empaneled. She is a recipient of the Pt. D.V. Paluskar Award, Balgandharva Puraskar, Ustad Alladiya Khan, Pt Mallikarjun Mansoor Karnatak  Govt. Award.  Through her “Prerana Music Organisation,” she mentors students world wide and contributes to musicology via articles and concerts, continuing to uphold the legacy of versatile forms of Indian music ranging Khayala, Thumri Dadara Tappa Gazal Bhajans Sargamgeet Bhavgeet etc. One of many Albums is released by hands of Bharatratna Lata Mangeshkar
