Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Database Schema Design: Use primary keys, foreign keys, and constraints strategically to create and manage normalized relational database structures that guarantee data integrity.
Advanced T-SQL/PL-SQL Development: Create intricate stored procedures, views, triggers, and user-defined functions to automate data processing and business logic.
Query optimization involves identifying bottlenecks by analyzing execution plans, implementing indexing algorithms, and reworking heavy queries to minimize CPU and I/O overhead.
ETL Procedures: Using programs like SSIS, Informatica, or Python, create and oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines to transfer data between heterogeneous systems.
Data Migration: Oversee data migration initiatives, guaranteeing referential integrity and zero data loss during system upgrades or transitions.
Database Security: To safeguard sensitive data (PII/PHI), utilize granular user rights, data masking, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Backups and Recovery: To guarantee business continuity, work with DBAs to establish backup schedules and verify Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols.
Report Development: Create efficient data sets and intricate aggregations to enable BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS) from the back end.
