Job Description
Duties:
Production Planning & Execution: To satisfy client demand and maximize machine utilization, create and oversee daily production schedules.
Process Optimization: To increase flow and decrease idle time, locate production line bottlenecks and apply Line Balancing strategies.
Resource Management: Oversee shop floor employees, including technical training, performance reviews, and shift schedules.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support: To reduce unscheduled downtime, offer prompt technical help for machine failures or process deviations.
Lean & Continuous Improvement: Use Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to get rid of the 8 Wastes of production and spearhead Kaizen projects.
Quality Assurance Liaison: Work together with the Quality division to look into non-conformities and put permanent corrective measures (CAPA) in place.
Cost management: Reduce scrap rates, maximize energy use, and manage tool life to keep an eye on and manage production costs.

Focus Skills:
Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth comprehension of particular procedures (such as casting, machining, assembly, or plastic processing).
Leadership: Demonstrated capacity to oversee sizable groups of skilled and semi-skilled workers.
Technical Software: Knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP or Oracle).
Problem Solving: Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques such as Fishbone Diagrams and the 5-Whys.
