Job Description
Duties:
2D Blueprint & Layout Drafting: Use AutoCAD to create thorough, detailed 2D production drawings that include orthographic projections, cross-sectional views, and intricate assembly configurations.
Plant & Shop-FloorLayouts: Create and maintain plans for large-scale industrial facility layouts that include utility connections, machine locations, and material transportation routes.
Engineering Change Implementation: Based on official Engineering Change Notices, make quick and accurate changes to legacy 2D drawings while making sure that all changes are accurately traced.
Bill of Materials Compilation: Create precise multi-tier Bills of Materials, component lists, and weight estimates for procurement by directly extracting geometric data from drawings.
Drafting Standardization: Manage standardized font styles, border templates, dimension settings, and CAD layer hierarchies while enforcing and upholding drawing standards throughout the company.
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing: To ensure mating clearances, apply suitable linear dimensions, limit tolerances, and basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing markers.

Focus Skills:
Autodesk AutoCAD Fluency: Proficient with dynamic blocks, external references, isometric drawing projections, layout sheet-set profiling, and 2D drafting tools.
Engineering Graphics Mastery: Complete comprehension of technical drawing standards, hatching rules, cross-sectional mapping, and multi-view projections.
The ability to appropriately apply and interpret fundamental geometric tolerances on localized manufacturing layouts is known as GD&T Callout Interpretation.
Shop-floor Process Awareness: A practical grasp of fundamental production techniques, including precision turning/milling settings, welding setups, and sheet metal bending.
