Your Duties:
Schematic capture and circuit design: Using high-level system requirements as a guide, create reliable analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power management circuits.
PCB Layout & Routing: Create multi-layer PCB layouts, specify stack-ups, arrange components correctly, and handle high-speed routing limitations (differential pairs, controlled impedance).
Component Selection & BOM Lifecycle: Examine and choose active and passive components, weigh trade-offs between cost and performance, and keep a production-ready Bill of Materials (BOM) while taking supply chain lifespan into account.
Signal & Power Integrity Analysis: To ensure reliable high-frequency signaling, assess hardware designs for noise margins, cross-talk, power loss, and decoupling efficiency.
Hardware Debugging & Prototyping: Use soldering stations, digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers to bring up, test, and debug prototype hardware boards.
Firmware Integration: Work closely with Embedded Software Engineers to validate microcontroller peripherals and integrate low-level drivers.
