Responsibilities:
Power System Design: Create industrial electrical systems, such as sub-stations, backup power infrastructures, and low-to-medium voltage power distribution networks.
Electrical Schematic Drafting: Using specialist electrical CAD software, create and edit precise electrical wiring diagrams, control schematics, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules.
Perform comprehensive electrical engineering calculations, such as transformer loading parameters, voltage dips, cable sizing, and short-circuit analysis.
Control Panel Engineering: Ensure proper component arrangement and heat management while designing industrial control panels, motor control centers, and variable frequency drive enclosures.
System Testing & Commissioning: Using insulation testers, power quality analyzers, and phase rotation meters, oversee the physical setup, testing, and commissioning of new electrical installations on-site.
Automation Integration: Work together with automation and control engineers to specify input/output wiring designs for instrumentation loops and programmable logic controllers.

Required Skills:
Electrical CAD Tool Fluency: Proficient use of certain industrial drawing programs, such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN Electric P8, or ETAP for power system modeling.
Electrical Engineering Fundamentals: In-depth practical knowledge of switchgear protection logic, grounding/earthing topologies (TN, TT, IT networks), and three-phase power balancing.
Component and Switchgear Literacy: Total understanding of how to specify contactors, overloads, isolation transformers, air circuit breakers (ACBs), and molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs).
Equipment Mastery: Able to use diagnostic equipment safely, such as clamp meters, power quality loggers, and Megger insulation testers.
Technical Schematic Literacy: Expertise in reading, analyzing, and debugging large-scale multi-sheet automation terminal charts and electrical loop designs.
