Ahmedabad values return to upper domestic range

Ahmedabad domestic market activity strengthened this week after several sessions of unchanged trading through most of May. Indian SBS LG501 prices rose by Rs 24/kg week on week to Rs 239/kg on 26 May from Rs 215/kg previously. The latest increase lifted the grade back toward the recent high zone and reinforced the firmer short-term tone visible across current domestic trade. Market movement during the earlier part of May had stayed comparatively narrow, with repeated sessions returning to the Rs 215/kg area despite fluctuations recorded during April.
Current levels are also Rs 13/kg above the Rs 226/kg area seen a month earlier, while Indian SBS LG501 prices remain substantially above the lower side near Rs 184/kg recorded during the earlier trading period. SBS LG501 prices in India are additionally Rs 9/kg higher than values recorded around mid-May near Rs 230/kg. Procurement discussions are continuing around whether the latest rise can sustain after prolonged inactivity in previous sessions. Weekly volatility widened compared with earlier May trading, although broader movement across the available data period has remained comparatively orderly rather than aggressive. Support continues near Rs 215/kg while resistance is tracked around Rs 239/kg.
