CNC Setter Hands-On Shop Floor Setup Position
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Tooling Configuration: Mount, align, and secure work-holding fixtures, chuck jaws, vices, and specialized raw material guide blocks in a methodical manner to carry out full machine changes.
Cutting Tool Assembly & Indexing: Measure and record the precise tool length and radius offsets as you choose and put the appropriate cutting tools—such as carbide inserts, drills, endmills, and reamers—into tool holders.
CNC Program Retrieval & Modification: Use Direct Numerical Control (DNC) lines to load part programs into the machine controller. Then, examine code lines and change G-codes and M-codes to modify cutting depth restrictions, feed rates, or spindle speeds.
First-Piece Approval & Offsets Calibration: Conduct safe initial sample trial runs, use precision measuring tools to examine the first-off component, and adjust wear offsets to bring dimensions to mean values.
Tooling Lifecycle & Wear Supervision: Track machining performance in real time to identify trends in tool wear, and replace or index dull inserts in a methodical manner to stop structural tool breakage or component finish deterioration.
Technical Proofing and Troubleshooting: During setup trials, identify surface finish flaws, dimensional drifting, or unusual chatter sounds. Adjust coolant directional flows or tool geometry routes to resolve problems.

Experience: 3 to 6 yrs
Education: 10th, 12th or Above
