Weekly domestic correction continues in controlled range
valid until: 27 May 2027date published: 27 May 2026Indian Fumed Silica prices moved lower this week after remaining stable for much of the previous month. CAB-O-SIL M5 in Ahmedabad was assessed at Rs 584/kg on 27 May compared with Rs 600/kg during the prior weekly comparison. The latest movement reflected a softer procurement environment without sharp intraday volatility, keeping the broader domestic market within a controlled structure. Buyers tracking short-term supply activity continued focusing on the gradual easing pattern rather than abrupt market corrections.
The current assessment also remains below earlier comparison levels across monthly and quarterly periods. Domestic values were close to Rs 620/kg one month ago, while the three-month reference period stood near Rs 661/kg. Six-month levels around Rs 668/kg continue to highlight the wider correction visible through the market. Recent domestic trade ranged between Rs 580/kg and Rs 692/kg, indicating that Fumed Silica prices in India remain within an established operating band despite the weaker weekly tone. Indian Fumed Silica prices have therefore shifted closer to recent support zones while maintaining orderly market behaviour across major trading sessions.
